When trimming. amongst others. the Shah of Persia‰۪s beard in 1871. William Penhaligon esteemed barber was fond of using a splash of eau de toilette. Hammam Bouquet was his first creation. The beginning of a long and remarkable story in smell. Ever since it has taken pride of place in the House‰۪s ever expanding library of scents - the first. and the most daring of orientals.

Indeed. wearing Hammam Bouquet. whilst clothed at best in a bath robe - one is sure to be underdressed!
